LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Benguet Caretaker Congressman and Anti-Crime and Terrorism through Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) Party-list Rep. Eric Go Yap assured there will be more projects from concerned government agencies to be implemented next year as funds for the same had been incorporated in the proposed P4.5 trillion annual budget next year which he worked out with the various departments as part of his responsibility as legislator.
He pointed out the province’s priority projects will be implemented for the benefit of the people of Benguet and that he will not actually benefit from the same as being alleged by some of his critics.
The lawmaker claimed that since the funds had been identified for specific projects in the different jurisdictions in Benguet next year, these will be used to for the projects that had been brought to his attention for funding as the province needs to be elevated to greater heights with the completion of major infrastructure projects that will entice businesses to expand to potential business centers in the different parts of the province.
Rep. Yap underscored the importance of using the public funds properly for their prescribed purposes, specifically for the development of Benguet which needs more development projects to help spur economic growth and countryside development.
According to him, the people of Benguet deserve more high-impact development projects from concerned government agencies that is why he worked extra hard to ensure that most of the projects brought to his attention will have the required funds to realise the desire of the residents from the remote villages for better infrastructure.
Rep. Yap assured he will personally look into how the funded projects will be implemented to ensure proper workmanship and quality because people deserve good projects that will work to their advantage, especially in the transport of their agricultural produce from their farms to the different markets, for them to derive bigger income with lesser damage to their produce.
He reported he will continue to work with government agencies and the private sector to seek assistance for the people of Benguet because it is important that residents living in the remote communities will continue to feel the presence of government providing their needs.
Yap asserted that as an adopted son of Benguet, he wants to reciprocate the treatment he got from the people when he assumed as the caretaker congressman in January with sincere and dedicated public service so that people will be able to reap the fruits of development in their respective places.
