TABUK CITY, Kalinga – During the Matagoan 2022 Ecumenical Service, Pastor Roderick Domingo of Blessed Eternal Hope Church reminded everyone present that they should do what is right in the service of the Lord, not the people.
The pastor stated that no matter what one has achieved, they must always remember where they came from, who they are, and what their strengths and limitations are in order to understand how to interact with people thoughtfully and politely.
The necessity of unity was stressed by Domingo.
“Through our shared calling, common personalities, and common confession, we are invited to live together in unity, regardless of our denomination, the church to which we belong to, our tribes, our positions, our jobs, our social class, and our gender and talents,” he stated.
He reminded the city government staff that their current position is a divine calling, and that their work should represent HIS desires.
Domingo went on to say that if people understand their calling, they’ll know what they’re doing and why it’s essential, which would allow them to better serve the public.
The pastor implored everyone to do the right thing, to do what is honorable to the people and to the LORD.
“Lumalaki ang pagkaka-alam natin sa katotohanan ng PANGINOON,” he remarked, “kung ginagawa natin yung tama, kung ano ang nararapat.”
According to Domingo, they should also be consistent with their position in life.
“Remember, we are GOD’s earthly ambassadors,” he said, adding that “our lifestyles must reflect this.”
He warned everyone in attendance that their actions today may either be a blessing or a curse for their family in the future, depending on their actions.
Finally, the pastor stressed the importance of humility, gentleness, and patience in Christian unity.
With these three, you can’t go wrong, he stated.
