TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 65-year old businessman died after he was shot to death by two still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men at sitio Wanti, Purok 7, Bulanao, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Tabuk City Police Office, identified the fatality as Alfonso Tungkul Dulin, 65, married, businessman and a resident of Purok-6, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was in the place of incident when two still unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men suddenly arrived and immediately fired at him several times hitting him on the different parts of his body causing him to fall lifeless on the ground.
Concerned residents rushed the victim to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the suspects are now the subject of manhunt by responding police operatives.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team recovered six spent shells of a calibre .45 pistol which was allegedly used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
