Three hurt in shooting, suspect dies in a road accident in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – A man who shot three individuals was killed on spot after he met an accident while fleeing the crime scene at around 8:07 PM of August 29, 2021 along Naguilian Road in 2nd Road, Quezon Hill.

The suspect was identified as Rubillo Balmonte Distor, 47, jeepney driver, a native of Pozzorubio, Pangasinan and a resident of MRR Queen of Peace, Baguio City. The victims were identified as Bernard Aglaba Carbonell, 45 and Peter Carbonell Salvador, construction worker, single, 47, and Niño Boy Arellano Carbonell 35, all are residents of MRR Queen of Peace, Baguio City.

According to the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), the suspect who came from a birthday party approached his victims along MRR Queen of Peace. The four had a heated argument that turned violent.

The victims were immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC). Bernard Carbonnel sustained a gunshot wound on his chest, he underwent an operation. Peter also sustained a gunshot wound on his left foot while Niño Boy have two gunshot wounds on his feet.

The three victims are already recuperating from their wounds.

Meanwhile, Distor tried to flee on board his vehicle but he met an accident resulting to his immediate death along Naguilian Rd., 2nd Road Quezon Hill.
