MANKAYAN, Benguet- Karen B. Tegan, School Principal I of Mankayan Central School accepted responsibility as Coordinating Principal of public schools in Mankayan on April 14 at the covered court of Mankayan National High School, Mankayan, Benguet.
Reportedly, the difficulty caused by the pandemic led Dr. Ludinia A. Sano-an to transfer and serve her hometown, Buguias.
Melchor C. Tican, the Outgoing Public School District Supervisor of Buguias in lieu of Lucio B. Alawas, Chief of School Governance and Operation Division, installed Tegan. He ended his remarks with assurance to help the newly installed coordinating principal.
On the other hand, Sano-an chronicled her stay in the district and acknowledged the hospitality, volunteerism and cooperation of Mankayan educators and stakeholders. Likewise, she turned-over the responsibility to Tegan with guarantee that it will be light to carry through the support of other school heads, LGU and stakeholders.
In the light of the pandemic, Tegan was reluctant at first but she finally said, “Yes Sir, Yes Ma’am!” She believed that the Military parlance is the secret to success. Moreover, she reiterated that the district could secure the quality of education by tapping the spirit of “Binnadang”.
The installation, turnover and acceptance ceremony ended through back-to-back talks of Barangay Chairman Mateo Batane and Councilor Hector Gacita. By Jardson S. Onio
