BAGUIO CITY  – A 50-year old taxi driver died after he was allegedly shot to death by still unidentified gun-wielding suspects along Aguinaldo Drive, Kias Barangay, here, Tuesday dawn, November 26, 2019.

Police authorities identified the slain taxi driver as Johnherr Danang Omle, 50, a resident of Kias, Baguio City.

Initial police investigation showed that witnesses saw a slow-moving taxi driven by the victim proceeding towards the city proper and upon seeing that the victim seem to be not in control of the steering wheel, they immediately checked on him and found that he was bloodied that prompted them to rush him to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for medical treatment.

Attending physicians found that the victim sustained two gunshot wounds on his chest and a lone gunshot wound on his left hand but he later expired while undergoing medical supervision in the government hospital.

Probers ruled out robbery holdup as the motive behind the victim’s brutal murder considering that his wallet and money was still intact when a search was conducted on his belongings.
