PUDTOL, Apayao – A first-year college student was hurt after he was allegedly mauled by a group of individuals while they were creating noise in the neighbourhood at Cabatacan, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Felix Dayag, officer-in-charge of the Apayao Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as John Alvin Hrana, 27, signed, a first-year college student and a resident of Poblacion, Pudtol, Apayao, while he named the suspects as Ariel Tenorio, Russell Galut and Antonio Tenorio, all residents of Cabatacan, Pudtol, Apyao.
Initial police investigation showed the victim accompanied his companion to visit his girlfriend who happened to be the daughter of Antonio and upon noticing that his girlfriend was not around, they tried making noise by continuously moving their motorcycle around prompting the neigborhood to be irked.
At this juncture, the suspects chased the victim and his companions and were able to get hold of him and mauled him while his other colleagues were able to escape from the crime scene.
The victim was brought to the local health unit for medication while the case was referred to the barangay council for disposition.
