CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Six individuals including two high value targets, were arrested for suspected illegal drug pushing regionwide by members of the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR).
PROCOR Regional Director, Police Brigadier General R’win Pagkalinawan identified the suspected High-Value Individuals as Cioriano G. Tumitit aka “Piano”, 38 years old and resident of Upper Bad-ayan, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet and Gilbert Locloc Patiti, 44 years old, a member of Acetylene Gang and a resident of Banaaw, Tadian, Mt Province.
Tumitit was apprehended in his residence in the morning of June 26, while Patiti was seized in Balili, Mankayan, Benguet in the afternoon of June 27. Evidence recovered and confiscated from Tumitit’s possession were two (2) plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, Php1,000.00 buy-bust money, and a cellular phone while 26 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; one (1) sachet containing suspected shabu; one (1) keypad Samsung cellular phone; and a Cebuana Lhuillier Cash Card were taken from the possession of Patiti .
Investigation revealed that Patiti is a newly identified member of the Acetylene Gang operating nationwide with a warrant of arrest for the crime of Robbery with Intimidation with Php200, 000.00 recommended bail bond issued by Judge Rufus G. Malecdan of RTC Branch 60, Baguio City.
Meanwhile, three other suspected drug personalities were caught after the police executed a search warrant against them in their respected residences. Freddie Palangdan Mateo, 43, driver, and a native of Bauko, Mt. Province was arrested on Km 4 Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet on June 27. Confiscated from his possession were four (4) sachets of suspected “shabu”; dried marijuana leaves and assorted drug paraphernalia. Cely Concepcion Damasig and Romeo Ferrer Espino were apprehended on Ledesma St., East Modern Site, Aurora Hill, Baguio City on June 25. Taken from them are assorted drug paraphernalia, two live ammunition for cal. 45, and a M16 rifle.
Another suspect, Abdul Jalil Dangiwan Pascan, 24, and a tricycle driver was arrested along the National Highway, Purok 6, Calanan, Tabuk City, Kalinga on June 26 after he was found to be in possession of one (1) plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, and Php1,000.00 buy-bust money during a buy-bust operation.
Moreover, Kibungan police recovered one (1) kilo of dried marijuana leaves in tubular form wrapped in a transparent cellophane worth Php120,000.00 found in a waiting shed in Sitio Ambalideng, Poblacion, Kibungan, Benguet in the afternoon of June 28.
“I commend the operatives for their laudable accomplishment and I encourage all our units to continue our gains and accomplish more to totally eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region,” Pagkalinawan said.
