Sitel Group, a global leader in end-to-end customer experience (CX) products, and solutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Baguio to provide training and employment opportunities to residents and aid in the city’s economic recovery.
The signing ceremony was held at Baguio City Hall with Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Marlene de Castro, Executive Assistant and Public Employment Services Office Manager representing the local government. Cashmir Cabalo, former University and Community Partnership (UCP) Lead, Sitel Baguio signed on behalf of the company.
“Sitel Group always looks forward to creating strong partnerships within the communities where we live and work,” shared Cabalo. “Baguio has been home to Sitel Group for many years and we are always looking for ways to strengthen our ties with the local communities and residents. Our University and Community Partnership team continuously reach out to local government units and academic institutions to see how we can work together.”
One of the provisions of the MOU is the Baguio City local government promoting Sitel Baguio’s strategic people programs focused on community-capacity building such as Sitel Academy’s free virtual training, virtual career fairs in various barangays and robust referral programs for new potential hires.
Together Sitel Baguio and the city pledge to work together to promote the continued growth of the BPO Industry and provide more local talent and job seekers with the skills they need to start a career in the industry.
