BAGUIO CITY – A 27-year old service crew was injured after he was mauled by a fellow service crew inside a pizza parlor along Abano Street here Saturday night.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Jeffrey Velasco Catubay, 27, married, service crew, native of Alcala, Pangasinan, and residing at No. 21 Upper Malvar Aurora Hill, Baguio City while he named the suspect as Jeremy Miranda Ona, of legal age, service crew, and resident of RNHS Compound, Gibraltar, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the suspect saw the victim talking with one of their co-employees wherein he confronted him for allegedly telling false stories against him.
At the height of their confrontation, the victim decided to go to the kitchen to avoid further problems but he was followed by the suspect who in turn mauled him thereby inflicting injuries on the different parts of his body.
The suspect and the victim were subsequently pacified by their co-employees and the victim was immediately brought to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect was collared and will face the charges to be filed against him.
