BAGUIO CITY – A 46-year old service crew of a videoke bar was hurt after she was mauled by a 29-year old cook inside an establishment along Otek Street Sunday night.
Senior Superintendent Goerge D. Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Roselia Tanedo Dantes, 46, single, service crew, a resident of Lower Quirino-Magsaysay Subdivision, Baguio city who hails from Tarlac City while he named the suspect as William Manuel Catacutan, 29, single, chef/cook, native of Nueva Ecija and a resident at No. 22, Otek St., Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and her companions came from a drinking session inside a nearby establishment when they decided to go back to the place of her work in order to greet her employer.
Upon arrival in her workplace, she noticed that one of their co-employees was shouting at their employer prompting her to inquire from the suspect on what was going on.
Instead of properly answering back, the suspect suddenly punched her on the different parts of her body causing her to seek assistance from her companions.
She was immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives during a followup operation and is now detained at the BCPO headquarters awaiting the filing of appropriate charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
