LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—The provincial government thru the initiative of the Pangasinan Provincial Chorale (PPC) is inviting all choral enthusiasts from Luzon to participate in the PCDA Luzon Conference 2018 from August 24 to 26 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC).
PPC conductor Joy T. Nilo who is also the vice president for PCDA membership, said that the three-day conference will be participated in by country’s best musical conductors who will serve as lecturers on various topics.
Nilo said that aside from the lectures, a nightly free concert featuring award-winning choirs will serve as highlights of the event.
As such, the speakers and topics for the Luzon-wide conference are as follows:
Pauline Wong- Musicianship for Conductors
Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero- Programming and Score Study
Ramon Lijauco, Jr. – Choral Literature
Joel Aquino- The Changing Voice
Shiela Bandelaria-Fetalvero- Rehearsal Methods for Choirs
Malou Hermo- Intermediate Beating Techniques
Bianca Camille Lopez- Diction and Languages
Registration fees for PCDA members to include senior citizens and undergraduate students will be P3,500 while non-PCDA members are required to pay P4,000.
Nilo said the registration fee will be inclusive of the following: conference kit, reserved seating at the Choral Celebration concerts, certificate of attendance and appearance, lunch and dinner (lunch for days 1 to 3 and dinner for days 1 and 2), PCDA renewal/new membership, and conference shirt.
