The Kalinga Provincial Forensic Unit (KPFU) once again proved their outstanding performance in Modern Forensic Technology as they were recognized as the Best Provincial Forensic Unit in Category B for 2022 in the whole country during their 77th Founding Anniversary in Camp Crame, Quezon City on June 15, 2022.
With their high scores in terms of Administrative, Operational, and Strategic Management, KPFU managed to win the award for 2 consecutive years since 2021.
According to PMAJ Gina Claire Bentican, Provincial Chief Forensic Unit, the initiatives of the unit in terms of SOCO operations, Civilian Programs, and stakeholder convergence cemented their journey in bagging the conferment.
PMAJ Bentican highlighted the merits garnered from their strategic local government partnership which include the NGO, civilian, and academe collaboration, as well as the Tabuk City LGU’s donation of a lot area, and other PNP equipment that boosted their strategic management and operation.
She expressed their organization’s appreciation to Mayor Darwin Estrañero saying, “The LGU’s support is one of the contributory factors in our success, and we would like to express our gratitude to our city mayor Darwin Estrañero, and the city of Tabuk for the continues support not only from our office but to the whole PNP organization”.
When asked about how they will sustain their best practices in bagging this type of award for the coming years, she said “The most important part of achieving the recognition is to continuously sustain our initiatives, impact projects, and our dynamics with the stakeholders that would be beneficial to the PNP organization and to our province”.
The award was conferred by the PNP Forensic Group, and witnessed by the personnel of KPFU and PNP Kalinga via Video Teleconferencing (VTC). The plaque of recognition was received by PCOL Nerino Daciego, Chief Regional Forensic Unit Cordillera and will be subsequently forwarded to PNP Kalinga.
