PEZA worker found dead in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – A 49-year old employee of the Loakan-based Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) was reportedly found dead by his landlord inside his rented room at sitio Ongasan, Loakan Proper, here, Sunday.

Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the alleged suicide victim as Roland Dulnuan Guibong, 49, married, Government employee at PEZA, Loakan Proper, Baguio City.

Initial police investigation showed the victim’s land lady informed probers that she smell a foul odo emanating from the window of the rented room that prompted them to forcibly open the door of his room and to their surprise, they saw the victim lying on his bed with a balnket wrapped around him and that his body was in a state of decomposition.

Concerned neighbors also informed probers that they sawy the victim alive in the afternoon of Thursdy sitting in front of a store in the neighborhood.

Initial examination conducted by the elements of the scene of the crime operatin team found that the victim did not sustain any signs of xternal injuries and that his body was brought to a local funeral parlor for the conduct of the mandatory autopssy.

The casie is still subject to further investigation by the concerned police personnel assigned in the area.
