The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the country’s largest business organization, has assured its support for the newly appointed Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Adrian Cristobal Jr., and the first chairman of the Philippine Competition Commission, Arsenio M. Balisacan.
Appointments of DTI Undersecretary Cristobal and Secretary Balisacan of the National Economic Development Authority to their new posts were announced last week by Malacañang.
George T. Barcelon, PCCI president, expressed in a congratulatory letter his confidence that Secretary Cristobal “will bring about new significant milestones while carrying out the critical programs and initiatives instituted by DTI in the past six years, specifically as we go into the ASEAN Economic Community.” (PCCI Press Release)
