Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad Benguet – More than 6 million worth of marijuana plants and stalks were discovered and destroyed during a single-day marijuana eradication operation by the Benguet Police and PDEA Cordillera in Kibungan, Benguet on April 1, 2021.
As revealed from the report of PCOL REYNALDO PASIWEN, Provincial Director of Benguet PPO, a concerned citizen reported about a marijuana plantation site located at a communal land at Sitio Kilong, Poblacion, Kibungan, Benguet.
Upon validation, operatives proceeded at the area where they discovered and destroyed marijuana plants and dried stalks totaling to Php 6,120,000.00 worth.
Operating personnel uprooted and burned on-site about 600 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated value of Php 120,000.00 which they found cultivated in the 120-square meter lot.
Moreover, about 50 kgs of dried marijuana Stalks having an estimated value of Php 6,000,000.00 were found in the area. These were all burned on-site while the operatives conducted probing to identify and discourage cultivators. (PROCOR RPIO)
