BAGUIO CITY – The new set of officers of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Baguio-Benguet Chapter (PCCI-BBC) for this year will take their respective oath of offices anytime next month for them to be able to sustain the implementation of various activities lined up for the promotion and advancement of micro, small and medium enterprises in the Baguio and Benguet areas.
Modesto Imayaho, newly-elected PCCI-BBC president, said the local chapter officers are awaiting the availability of the PCCI national president because he will be the inducting officer and guest of speaker during the induction ceremonies that will be scheduled anytime next month.
“We want the PCCI national president to be our inducting officer so that he will cascade to us the overall direction of the organization in terms of empowering the vibrance of businesses in the different parts of the country,” Imayaho stressed.
Aside from Imayaho, the new set of PCCI-BBC opfficers are Mr. Roberto C. Pidal – vice president, Engr. Ernesto C. Panis – board secretary, Mr. Dennis L. Sy – treasurer, Engr. Salvador M. Royeca – public relations officer, Mr. Deimler O. Cuyan – auditor, Engr. Alfonso T. Lao – director, Engr. Marciano L. Garcia – director, Mr. Juan Johnny R. dela Cruz – director, Engr. Mario R. Alzona, Jr. – director and Dr. Rhodora A. Ngolob – director and immediate past president.
Lao also serves as the area vice president of PCCI Northern Luzon covering Regions, I, I, III and the Cordillera while dela Cruz will serve as the PCCI Regional governor for the Cordillera.
PCCI-BBC is a nucleus of quality service in harmony with nature towards a sustainable socio-economic development managed by steadfast, responsible, empowered and productive business leaders in collaboration with responsive partners in nation building.
At the same time, the PCCI-BCC shall in unity with the government and non-government agencies in creating an environment that will promote socio-economic stability and ensure the general well-being of the business community.
Among the group’s guiding principles include service, integrity, innovativeness, competitiveness, productivity and teamwork.
The members of the organization are character members who are the founders, incorporators and the other original members of the organization; life members who are the past presidents of the chamber; regular members which refers to any enterprise engaged in business and other entrepreneurial activities for profit or the exercise of a profession; association or sectoral members which refers to any sectoral or business association under the laws of the land; affiliate members refers to any entity that does not meet the membership qualifications; sustaining member are members who regularly contribute for the upliftment of the organization and honorary members are members who have rendered services, exceptional and valuable contributi9ons in furtherance of the cause or objectives of the chamber.
