Rhodel Sermonia, PNP Deputy Chief for Administration in his keynote speech mentioned that the Duterte Legacy Caravan means two things, “Serbisyong TaMA: Serbisyong Tapang at Serbisyong Malasakit”. He shared that the “Serbisyong Tapang” is the steadfast commitment of the administration to fight crime, illegal drugs, insurgencies and corruption in the government and the “Serbisyong Malasakit” is the intensified services of the different agencies of government. He then assured the participants that the administration will continue providing its services even in the last months of President Duterte’s term.
The Duterte Legacy Caravan was spearheaded by the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Department of Interior and Local Government. The theme for this year’s caravan “Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan, at Kaunlaran” highlights the importance of collaboration among the different agencies of government and the people to effect real change and development in the country. The caravan also aimed to inform the public about the programs, policies, efforts, and accomplishments of the Duterte administration for an improved quality of and access to services by the Filipinos.
