BAGUIO CITY – A 23-year old farmer was stabbed dead by his own live in partner inside their rented room after a heated altercation that emanated from a simple misunderstanding along Magsaysay Avenue early Thursday evening.

Police authorities identified the victim as Ismael Ngahilao Bolling, 23, a farmer, who hails from Aduyungan, Mayoyao, Ifugao while the suspect was named as Lelibeth Ocsino Serencio, 37, a housewife, who hails from Davao City, both temporarily residing along Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City.

Initial police investigation showed neighbors of the suspect and the victim heard them arguing about the latter’s suspicion that his live in partner had an affair with a text mate. After a heated argument, their neighbors reportedly heard a commotion that was followed by silence.

Probers revealed one of the neighbors of the couple heard a person knocking on their door and when he opened the same, he was surprised to see the bloodied victim pleading for help to rush him to the hospital for treatment.

The victim was immediately rushed by their neighbors to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The suspect immediately surrendered to the responding police operatives and accompanied them in rushing the victim to the hospital.

Recovered from the crime scene was a bloodied kitchen knife which was allegedly used by the suspect in the commission of the crime.

Initial autopsy results showed the victim sustained a lone stab wound on his chest that reportedly pierced his heart that caused his instantaneous death.

The case was referred to the inquest prosecutor for the filing of the appropriate charge against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station No. 2 awaiting the final decision of the prosecutor on her case.
