BAGUIO CITY June 19 – A 40-year old man was injured after he was stabbed thrice by a 29-year old man at Gabriela Silang, here, Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Ramil L. Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Christopher Maquinto, 40, while the suspect was named as Alexander Maligcong Buenafe, 29 years old, and both single, PWDs, and residents of Gabriela Silang barangay, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that a day prior to the stabbing incident, the two individuals were allegedly involved In a fight wherein the victim allegedly slapped the face of the suspect and the latter threatened to get back at him by stabbing him once he will have a chance to do so.
On Sunday, the suspect, who was armed with a bladed weapon, suddenly approached the victim and stabbed him thrice on the upper portion of his body as his revenge.
The suspect was immediately rushed by the concerned citizens to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and now awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
