RIZAL, Kalinga – A man was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in his possession various illegal firearms and several rounds of ammunitions during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence at Lian West here recently.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the alleged possessor of illegal firearms and ammunitions as Jerry Delezo Yatar, of legal age, married and a resident of Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga.
Confiscated from his possession by the operating troops were one pc Remington Cal .45 pistol bearing SN 135268; one pc magazine for Cal 45; five pcs live ammos for Cal .45; one pc homemade long shotgun; one pc homemade short shotgun; one pc improvised magazine for gauge 12 shotgun; six pcs 12 gauge ammos; and two pcs live Cal. 50 ammos.
The target person and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Rizal Municipal Police Station for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges against the suspect.
The search warrant was issued by Judge Nympha Abbacan of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court in the area.
