TINGLAYAN, Kalinga June 13 – A 22-year old man was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in his possession alleged hashish and other drug paraphernalia during a police checkpoint at Poblacion, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individual as Joseph Forcadela Cordova, 22, married, and presently residing at Saranay Cabatuan, Isabela.
Initial police investigation showed concerned residents tipped the police on the presence of a visitor who was allegedly in possession of hashish which he bought from suppliers in the place.
During a checkpoint, the said person was found to be in possession of two pieces of suspected Marijuana hashish wrapped in a transparent packing tape that was inserted in his right and left foot covered by his socks, one Nokia cellphone and P298 in cash and coins.
The arrested individual and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Tinglayan Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
