SABLAN, Benguet – Employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways – Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR reported to police operatives here of the presence of a male cadaver dumped along a ravine along the Naguilian Road, particularly at sitio Mountain View, barangay Banangan here around 10 am Monday.
Senior Inspector Azalea N. Rabena, chief of the Sablan Municipal Police station, said Mr.
Alex Sabirola Bernas a maintenance crew of the DPWH reported to the police that he discovered the lifeless body of the male individual that was lying below the road while he was performing his regular job along the highway.
Rabena described the found lame cadaver as 20 to 25 years old; 5’4” in height; has several tattoos on his body; wearing black sweatshirt with “Chicago” markings; short maong jeans pant; rubber shoes; and plain black bonnet.
According to Senior Inspector Rabena, the found cadaver sustained ligature marks on his neck through strangulation as per information from the Medico-Legal Officer, Superintendent Rodrigo Leal.
She added he had the letters VHEAMRTZ on his chest and the markings BNG on his right left.
The cadaver was brought to the Bahay Damayan Funeral Homes, Marcos Highway, Baguio City awaiting for autopsy.
