BAGUIO CITY – The regional and district offices of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in the Cordillera are now fully using the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) which allows them to serve more clients.

The LTO-CAR regional director Francis Ray Almora reported that people need not personally appear in the LTO office in their area just to avail of their desired services as they can do their business online to avoid face-to-face contact.

He claimed that the latest district office to be connected online with the LTMS is the LTO Abra district office which now makes it easier for the people of Abra to transact business with them without visiting their office.

Almora is the chairman of the LTO steering committee in the roll out of the LTMS in the different regions around the country.

The LTO-CAR official claimed that the Cordillera is the first regional office to be fully connected with the LTMS, one of the flagship projects of the agency for the benefit of those availing of the available services.

Among the available services offered by the LTMs include the online appointment and application system, the driver’s licensing system, motor vehicle registration system and the revenue collection system.

He urged prospective clients of the LTO regional and district offices to maximize the use of the LTMS transact business with the LTO and help reduce the long lines in the offices and to comply with the ongoing implementation of restrictions that will prevent the spread of the deadly virus among the agency’s employees and clients.

The LTO-CAR also provided generator sets to the regional and district offices to ensure uninterrupted delivery of the agency’s services during power outages.

Almora assured concerned sectors that the LTMS is a good system that will help the agency speed up the processing of transactions to avoid the long lines in the different offices for quite some time and this is provided with appropriate security features that will prevent the personal data of the clients from being stolen by hackers.

He asserted that the LTMS is part of the agency’s digitalization in preparation for the normalization of operations with the significant decline in COVID-19 cases in the different parts of the country and with the easing up on the restrictions so that people can have a choice of mode of transactions with their office.  By HENT
