The La Trinidad Municipal Police Station arrested various individuals who are suspected of committing illegal drug activities and homicide recently.
In pursuit to hit hard on anti- illegal drugs campaign, police authorities of La Trinidad MPS nabbed a suspected pusher during an entrapment operation in Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
The arrested suspect was identified as Jefferson Pacio Damilo, 28 years old, single, driver, native of Buguias, Benguet and a resident of Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.
One of the agents posed as a buyer and transacted with the suspect that ensued the confiscation of one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu”, with estimated weight of more or less 0.6 grams.
The authorities impounded one (1) Samsung (keypad cellular phone), one (1) improvised plastic container wrapped with black electrical tape, one Thousand Peso bill (PHP1,000.00), and three (3) boodle one thousand Peso bills (PHP1,000.00) which were found among Damilo’s possessions.
On Friday, February 7, 2020, another anti-illegal drugs operation was executed by operatives of this station that resulted to the arrest of Aaron Joel Sapon Estrada aka “Aron”, a former drug surenderee of Paniqui, Tarlac and considered a high value individual, 29 years old, single, helper, native and resident of Paniqui, Tarlac, and Angelo Espenida Gaspar, a newly identified street level individual, 37 years old, married, welder, native and resident of Paniqui, Tarlac.
The said operation led to seizure of three (3) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, Vivo (touchscreen) cellular phone, one (1) genuine One Thousand Peso bill (PHP1,000.00) and eleven (11) pcs One Thousand boodle money from Estrada and one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from Gaspar.
The arrested suspects and the recovered pieces of evidence are now under the custody of La Trinidad MPS for booking and proper disposition, while an inquest case for Violation of Sec 5, Sec 11 and Sec 15 Article II of RA 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
In another operation, LTMPS operatives implemented a search warrant operation that yielded to the successful seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of a former drug surrenderee at Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
The confiscated items include five (5) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with estimated weight of more or less 10 grams and with estimated DDB value of Sixty-Eight Thousand pesos (Php 68,000.00) based on the standard street value per gram of Six thousand eight hundred pesos (Php 6,800.00) and assorted drug paraphernalia.
PMAJ CLEFF VENCIO, Officer-in-Charge of La Trinidad MPS identified the arrested suspect as Frederick Narvaez Mariano aka “Liklik, 52 years old, married, mechanic/driver, native and resident of Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Investigators further revealed that Mariano was a former drug surrenderee of this station and was reloaded as a high value individual on August 8, 2016.
“We will not cease to implement proactive operations as we are committed to eradicate if not prevent the access and trade of all forms of illegal drugs in the municipality,” PMAJ CLEFF VENCIO said.
La Trinidad police is incessantly conducting intensive anti-illegal drugs campaign towards a safer place to live, work and do business. The continuous partnership of the community giving reliable information to the police force makes this accomplishment possible.
Lastly, a wanted person was arrested during Manhunt Charlie Operation performed on Friday, February 7, 2020.
Joint Trackers Team of La Trinidad MPS, PIB-Benguet, PIDMB, RID-COR and CIDG-Benguet armed with warrant of arrest nabbed Reindolf Baladad y Leddan, 29 years old, native and a resident of Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The said warrant was issued on January 20, 2020 by Municipal Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Benguet Province for attempted homicide with bail recommended in the amount of Thirty Six Thousand Pesos (36, 0000.00).
The accused is under the custody of this station for documentation and medical examination before delivering to the issuing court.
“May this accomplishment on the arrest of wanted person serves as wake-up call to all outlaws that La Trinidad is not a refuge for criminals as we will persevere to hunt them down and eventually put them in prison,” PMAJ VENCIO said.
