“Anyone who begins a good work with love, purpose, and determination will bring it to completion.”
Before formally presenting the completers of the 10-Day Life Skills Training we conducted in General Santos City, I felt the need to say those words. Even if my role was to simply present – plain and simple – I thought to myself, I have to give them some words to chew on, even just that short sentence. After all, they have completed the training, and among other reasons are love, purpose, and determination.
Let me say it again, “Anyone who begins a good work with love, purpose, and determination will bring it to completion.”
This is my last column article with Herald Express. Somehow, I am completing a certain phase or project in my life – being a columnist with this Sunday paper. It has been a pleasure and privilege to be writing for you on a weekly basis since December 2014. It has been almost 5 years. I enjoyed every bit of it. With it, I have grown not just in my writing but also as a person. Looking back, I was able to do it because of love, purpose, and determination.
I love writing – writing words that empower and equip. I do it with the purpose of sowing seeds of instruction and inspiration so the readers will grow in the areas of leadership, communication, and life in general. Doing it weekly demands determination; I missed some Sundays, but I would always get back on track and persevere to write again.
While it is true that this would be my last column article for Herald Express, I will still continue to write. The love, purpose, and determination are still here with me. You will see me continue to write books and articles that will be made available to you in other channels. As I thank Herald Express for the years of serving readers in the Cordilleras, I also salute them for having those ingredients of love, purpose, and determination in their work.
And you, my dear friend, what are you working on right now? What is the project that you need to complete? Remember: do it with love, purpose, and determination. With these, you will reach its completion and fruition.
You may not see me anymore in this paper, but I will still be here, somehow. Again, this is Chris, still at your service as a leadership trainer, inspirational speaker, and a growth coach. Follow me on Facebook at fb.com/chrisdaoanis. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
