TABUK CITY, Kalinga – To update the barangays in their 2023-2025 development plans, the City Government of Tabuk will kick off the limited Barangay Revisit at Cabaruan on January 11.
The City Planning and Development Office will lead the revisit in various barangays until March this year, along with other local officials.
City Planning and Development Officer Maricel Kiley said that the revisit will be limited purposely for the updating of barangay development plans in relation to their relevant programs, activities and projects for the upcoming years.
Officials from the barangay and its people can organize and suggest priority programs, including budgetary requirements that may be sponsored by interested agencies.
The updated development plans of various barangays will be an important tool in incorporating the city government’s comprehensive development plan.
Kiley went on to say that the activities during the revisit program will be cut short in order to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19.
Attendees are encouraged to observe the basic minimum health protocols, such as wearing a face mask and physically separating themselves.
Mayor Darwin Estrañero endorsed the activity and expressed his optimism for greater barangay cooperation in the city’s continuous development and advancement.
Meanwhile, the schedule of revisit for January are as follows: January 12 – Balong, January 13, Laya West, January 14 – Laya East, January 18 – Dagupan Centro, January 19 – San Julian, January 20 – Casigayan, January 21 – Dilag, January 25 -Dagupan Weste, January 26 – Magsaysay, January 27 – Appas and January 28 – San Juan.
