Despite the pandemic, the Lepanto National High School Brigada Team was able to generate a total of P276,651.55 from the school’s stakeholders, mainly the alumni to support the distance learning modalities of the school.
A large part of the cash donations amounting to P183,310.84 were used to purchase learning packets for the 1,162 students enrolled in the school. The School PTA purchased the pair of the donated learning packets which were used to contain the self-learning modules of the students distributed every week. Printers, inks and bond papers were also donated for the printing of the modules and crates for the delivery of modules.
The Brigada Eskwela also provided materials for health and sanitation. The Red Cross donated one hands-free portable hand washing station or drumvatory last June 19, 2020. Surgical face masks, woven face masks, face shields, alcohol, disinfectants, soaps, handwash, disinfectant sprayers, thermal scanners and gloves were also donated to ensure health protocols were observed in the school.
Because of this partnership of the school and its stakeholders, it was awarded Outstanding Brigada Eskwela Secondary School Implementer – Large School Category during the Division of Benguet Service Excellence for DepEd Officials and Employees last December 19, 2020.
