BAGUIO CITY – A total of 65 Public Transport Marshals from different PUJ Terminals of Baguio City joined the Launching of Public Transport Marshalls at Igorot Park last September 5.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Panabang, BCPO Chief Traffic said the Marshals were given a special assignment to ensure strict implementation of Minimum Public Health Standards Protocols in all Public Utility Vehicles. Strictly emphasizing those commuters should wear facemasks and face shields and observe physical distancing.
In addition, Marshalling operations will be initiated by the PNP Personnel to advise, reprimand and apprehend violators of health safety protocols and non-compliance to minimum public health safety standards.
“Cooperation from our city residents as well as our transport group is very much needed to fight the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the city,” Panabang said.
In situation of the modified general community quarantine in Baguio City, Panabang reminded the public to adhere to safety protocols and help the government by being compliant to rules.
