LA TRINIDAD, Benguet August 14 – A 24-year old construction worker was injured after he was stabbed by his minor companion for still unknown reasons at Pico, here, Sunday.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad M7unicipal Police Station, identified the injured individual as Ernie Glen Bernardino Dumanas, 24, single, construction worker, native of Dupax Del Sur, Nueva Viscaya and a stay-in worker at Kings College of the Philippines while the suspect was described as a minor construction worker and a native of Butuan city but is presently residing at Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect allegedly hit the victim for still unknown reasons that prompted the latter to go to their barracks to inform his brother about the incident.
When the duo went to the place of incident to confront the suspect, a commotion suddenly ensued until such time that the victim noticed that he already sustained a stab wound on his stomach.
The victim was rushed to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
