LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A laborer was injured after he was stabbed by his drinking partner during a heated altercation at Bahong, here, Thursday.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the victim as Raymund Dackias aka Motsing, of legal age, single, construction worker, a native and resident of Ambongdolan, Tublay, Benguet while he named the suspect as Benjie Magamba Pacio, 28, single, driver, native of Ambongdolan, Tublay, Benguet and a resident boarder of Mae, Bahong, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect had a drinking spree and started joking with each other. After a few moments, the suspect decided to go home and sleep.
However, after an hour, he came back to the place of incident where he had a heated altercation with the victim that escalated to a commotion.
The suspect was able to grab a knife and stabbed the victim four times on the different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to the Benguet General Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
