Jobless man hangs self in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY  – A jobless man died after he allegedly hanged himself in his room at Purok 7, Asin road, here, Thursday.

Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, acting city director of the Baguio City Police Office, identified the alleged suicide victim as Dennis Tadina Magallanes, single, unemployed, native of Bacnotan, La Union and a resident of Purok 7, Asion road, Baguio City.

Initial police investigation showed that elements of BCPO Station No. 9 received a cellphone call regarding an alleged suicide incident that happened in the area.

Responding police operatives were able to discover the lifeless body of the victim which was hanging inside the room with the use of a bed sheet.

Probers learned that the victim had been allegedly quarrelling with his live in partner and tried to commit suicide earlier but he was pacified.

The victim’s cadaver was brought to the Baguio Memorial Chapel where he will be given a descent wake and burial.
