TABUK CITY, Kalinga– Board of Directors and officers of the different committee of Ipasil Credit Cooperative (ICC) took their oath today to mark the start of the cooperative’s new set of officers.
Outgoing ICC BOD Chairman Atty. Eduardo Buliyat challenged the new set of officers and BOD to manage the cooperative in accordance to its vision and to perform their duties well.
He said that it is necessary to follow what is in the by-laws of the cooperative in order for the ICC to thrive and become sustainable.
Chairman of the newly-inducted ICC Board of Directors Engr. Ronald Ryan Jose, who is also the City Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office’s (CCEDO) Program Development Officer, recognized the responsibilities of a BOD Chairman and committed to do his best to uphold the role with excellence.
Jose promised that the ICC’s vision and mission will be realized under his leadership.
The new set of officials and the BOD of ICC were inducted by City Mayor Darwin Estrañero, who expressed his gratitude to the many cooperatives in the city for being proactive and delivering various services to their members. Estrañero also praised CCEDO personnel, led by Catherine Lee Uera, for providing prompt assistance to cooperatives, regardless of their classification, to enhance their operations.
The City Mayor assured that monies for the Cooperative Assistance for Rural Empowerment (CARE) program, which helps micro and small cooperatives improve their operations, will continue to be allocated.
As of April 2022, the ICC, which was founded in 2012, is a medium cooperative with 819 members and a total asset of P31 million.
