TABUK CITY – Mayor Darwin Estrañero, when asked about Globe Telecom’s plan to build cell towers and the proposal to put up learning sites with online access to help students, considering the move of DepED for a flexible learning modality next school year, explained that he allowed the installation of 27 cell sites in the city.
After 9 years of service as the vice Mayor of Tabuk, Mayor Darwin Estrañero has noticed several areas in the city experiencing unstable network connections, thus, as soon as he assumed office as the Mayor of Tabuk, he allowed the installation of these cell sites in the city, however, due to the pandemic, some were interrupted.
“Addan tummakder dituy San Juan, adda pay tumakder dituy Appas ken Magsaysay. We want nga amin nga sites, especially dagituy urban barangays, tayo ket continuous ti signal.”
“Impakpakaunay ko kinyada nga nu mabalin kuma ket they will consider also putting up at least one cell site in one of these barangays (Magnao, Guilayon and Nambucayan) tapnu nu kasta ket adda met a signal ijay.”
“According to Globe Telecom, they will be sending their technical team to study the feasibility of putting up cell sites in the three rural barangays. They gave us an assurance that they will try their best to include one of the three barangays nga mabalin ikkan da ti cell towers.”
“But definitely, Cudal and Calaccad, adda dagita nakalistan. So, dagituy kakailyan tayo dituy Gaddang tribe, maipakpaka-ammu nga dayta ket sumangpet met lang ijjay ayan da,” the mayor stated during the Magandang Tanghali Mayor Program.
