BAKUN, Benguet September 04 – A 37-year old housewife was injured after she was repeatedly stabbed by a still unidentified military-looking knife-wielding suspect while she was tending her garden at Poblacion, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Meriam Danio Camsol, 37, married, housekeeper, and a resident of Poblacion, Bakun, Benguet while she described the suspect as 5’5” in height, medium built, chinky eyes (singkit), sporting military haircut and wearing a black t-shirt with “pulis” marking at the back, wearing combat shoes and camouflage pants.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was tending her garden when the suspect suddenly appeared from behind, covered her mouth with one of his hands, and started stabbing her on the different parts of her body.
The victim allegedly tried to fight back that prompted suspect to scamper for safety towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by concerned residents to the rural health unit where she is now undergoing close medical supervision for the injuries she sustained while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
