BONTOC, Mountain Province – The House of Representatives approved and third and final reading some eight bills filed by Rep. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. which has already been transmitted to the Senate for the approval of their counterpart measures before being enacted into laws.
House Bill (HB) 00728 authored by Dalog that seeks to declare Barlig, Mountain Province as a tourism development area and appropriating funds therefor which was substituted by HB 07263 was approved by the House on third reading last September 2, 2020 and was transmitted to the Senate on September 7, 2020.
The House also approved on third reading last January 27, 2020 HB 00729 that seeks to separate the Guinzadan National High School–Mayag Extension in Barangay Mayag, Bauko, Mountain Province from the Guinzadan National High School, converting it into an independent national high school to be known as the Mayag National High School and appropriating funds therefor which was substituted by HB 05741.
HB 00732 which seeks to convert the Sagada-Besao-Quirino, Ilocos Sur Road into a national road and appropriating funds therefor was substituted by HB 06492 and was approved by the House on third reading on May 20, 2020 and was transmitted to the Senate on May 21, 2020.
Further, the House also approved on third and final reading last January 27, 2020 HB 00734 which seeks to separate the Lubon National High School–Mabalite Extension in Barangay Mabalite, Tadian, Mountain Province from the Lubon National High School, converting it to an independent national high school to be known as the Mabalite National High School and appropriating funds therefor which was substituted by HB 05742.
HB 00735 which seeks to separate the Guina-ang National High School–Mainit Extension in Barangay Mainit, Bontoc, Mountain Province from the Guina-ang National High School, converting it to an independent national high school to be known as the Mainit National High School and appropriating funds therefor was also approved by the House on third and final reading on January 27, 2020.
Similarly, HB 00736 which seeks to establish an elementary school in Barangay Bacarri, Paracelis, Mountain Province to be known as the Wellie Maclinic Elementary School and appropriating funds therefor was substituted by HB 05743 was also approved by the House on the aforesaid date.
On September 13, 2019, the House approved on third and final reading HB 04157 which seeks to amend Section 4, 5, 20, 22, 27, 28, 34, 40, 50, 73, 112, 117, 204, 222, 237, 237-A, 255, 256, 257, 258, 261, 263, 264, 266, 275, 290, 291, 292, and adding new sections 6-A, 282-A, 293, 294, 295, 296, 297, 298, 299, 300, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315 and 316 all under the national Internal Revenue code of 1997, as amended, and for other purposes was approved by the House on third reading on September 13, 2019 while its counterpart bill in the Senate is SB 01357.
HB 07998 which seeks to change the name of the Paracelis National High School in Barangay Poblacion, Paracelis, Mountain Province to Serapio Gawan National High School was approved by the House on third reading on December 2, 2020. By HENT
