BAGUIO CITY – The 9th leg of the 2017 Head Junior Tennis Circuit kicked off last May 11 and will end on May 15 at the Athletic Bowl, here.
Players coming from all over the region, from Vigan, Abra, Laoag, Baguio and other neighbouring regions, have congregated to compete in the event. Over 120 tennis players registered to complete in the men and women singles while about 150 tennis players registered in the men and women doubles.
The tournament, made to create a fair playing field to all players, will have categories catering to aspiring male and female tennis players aged 10 and below, 12 and below, 14 and below, 16 and below, and 18 and below in the singles and doubles matches.
The five-day tournament also showcases the MXG Tennis Racket launched recently by HEAD. A demonstration of the racket in an exhibition game is to take place along with the tournament matches.
The competition is expected to be tough given the enthusiasm of players and organizers alike. A change in the weather during the events could be the other challenge during this event.

This 12-leg tournament, taking place in major cities all over the country, aims to seek notable talents in tennis and to help them achieve their dreams.
The culminating final 12th leg will take place in Manila.
