Grade 8 student hurt in Abra stabbing incident

BANGUED, Abra October 02 – A 22year old Grade 8 student was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by a knife-wielding suspect during a heated altercation at Zone V, here, Sunday.

Police authorities identified the victim as Michael Calibuso Belisario, 22, single, grade 8 student while the suspect was named as Philip Louie Castillo Peralta, 22, single, unemployed, both residents of Zone 6, Bangued Abra.

Initial police investigation showed the victim was walking towards their residence when the suspect, who was on board a motorcycle, suddenly stopped near him and the latter confronted him that resulted to a heated altercation that escalated into a fistfight.

The suspect then stabbed the victim on his posterior chest and immediately fled towards an undisclosed direction after the incident.

The victim was rushed to the Seares Memorial hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives during a followup operation.
