PUDTOL, Apayao – A 17-year old Grade 7 studend died after his motorcycle collided head on with a loader at barangay Mabilang, here, recently.
Senior Superintendent Felix Dayag, officer-in-charge of the Apayao Provincial Police Office, identified the fatality as Randy Agcaoili Tarupa, 17, single, grade 7 student and a resident of barangay Mabilang, pudtol, Apayao while he named the suspect as Roger Mating-en Bangnan, 30, single, loader operator, and a resident of barangay Masla, Tadian, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed the suspect allegedly lost control of the steering wheel of the unit of heavy equipment that he was driving causing it to go to the opposite lane of the road that resulted to the collision with the victim’s motorcycle.
The victim was thrown off his vehicle and banged his head nd body on the concrete pavement and was immediately rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple head and body injuries.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Pudtol Municipal Police Station awaiting the filing of appropriate charges against him.
