Farmer wounded in Kabugao stabbing spree

KABUGAO, Apayao – A 38-year old farmer was injured after he was stabbed by a fellow farmer during a heated altercation while playing cards in a wake in their neighborhood at Malabanig, Lucab, here, recently.

Senior Superintendent Felix Dayag, officer-in-charge of the Apayao Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Dogie Eggat Atta, 38 years old, married, farmer while he named the suspect as Roxas Sipsip, married, 60, both residents of Malabanig, Lucab, Kabugao, Apayao.

Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect attended a wake in their neighbourhood and decided to play cards as a past time.

However, a heated altercation suddenly erupted between the two that forced the suspect to allegedly stab the victim.

The victim was rushed to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center for medical treatment while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by the responding police operatives.
