LUNA, Apayao – A farmer was injured after he was stabbed by his father-in-law during a heated altercation at Purok Nangalisan, barangay Turod here Friday.
Senior Superintendent Felix Dayag, officer-in-charge of the Apayao Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Reggie Orlando, of legal age, married, farmer, and an Aeta and a resident of Bayugaom Turod, Luna, Apayao while he named the suspect as his own father-in-law, Orling Bunnao Calinga, legal age, married, farmer, an Aeta and both residents of Sitio Bayugao, Brgy. Turod, Luna, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect had a drinking session when a heated altercation erupted between them.
At the height of the arguments, the suspect immediately pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim twice on his back before fleeing towards sitio Tabbug while the victim was rushed by concerned residents to the Far North General Hospital and Training Center for medical treatment.
The suspect is now subject to a manhunt operation by concerned police operatives while the case is subject to further investigation.
