Farmer hurt in Abra stabbing incident

BANGUED, Abra October 10 – A 32-year old farmer was hurt after he was stabbed by a jobless man while the former was talking with the suspect’s aunt at Ubbog Lipcan, here, Monday.

            Police authorities identified the victim as Marcelino Bolante Bersalona, 32, single, farmer, and resident of Sta. Rosa, Bangued, Abra while the suspect was named as Ervin Jay Bona Bisquera, 21, single, unemployed, and resident of Ubbog-Lipcan, Bangued Abra.

            Initial police investigation showed that the victim was talking with the suspect’s aunt when the suspect suddenly appeared from nowhere and stabbed him on the different parts of his body before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.

            The victim was immediately rushed by concerned residents to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and is now undergoing investigation for the crime he committed.
