LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Combined police operatives and intelligence agents were able to discover assorted drug paraphernalia inside the rented room of a pocket miner at Rockyside, Lubas, here, Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the miner who rented the room in the house of SPO2 Angelo Bongalon Manzano of legal age, a resident of, Rocky Side, Lubas, La Trinidad, Benguet, as Norbert Fernandez Viernes, 36.
Initial police investigation showed the suspect allegedly rented the room in the house of the police officer last January 2016 but last May, the never went back to his boarding house for still unknown reasons.
Confiscated by the operating troops inside the rented room were drug paraphernalia placed inside a green plastic bag containing the following items; two improvised totter, one improvised small bottle lamp, one small rubber tube (color yellow) and one blue lighter that was kept under the table..
The seized pieces of evidence were brought to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation while the owner of the contraband is now the subject of a manhunt by responding police personnel.
