Driver mauled in Baguio jeepney terminal

BAGUIO CITY – A 20-year old driver was hurt after he hwas mauled by still unidentified groups of teenagers in the parking area of jeepneys going to barangay Dontogan at Saugum St. here Sunday night.
Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Konniev Jim Locano Casmo, 20, single, a driver and construction worker, a resident of Purok 3, Dontogan, Baguio city and a native of Bakun, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions were waiting for a taxi in the parking area when a still unidentified group of teenagers suddenly arrived and one of them reportedly punched him on the fact which caused them to go after the suspects.
When the suspects were able to scamper away from the crime scene, he went back to the place where he continued waiting for a ride but another group of male suspects suddenly arrived and started throwing stones at them and when they attempted to go after the teenagers, one of them punched him several times that caused him to fall on the ground.
The suspects were able to flee the crime scene while the victim was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the concerned police operatives are still looking for the identities of the suspects.
