SABANGAN, Mountain Province – The Dominguez family expressed their gratitude to the unity of leaders, officials and residents for the realization of long overdue change in the province that will contribute in elevating the status of Mountain Province to a higher level so that it will not be left behind by the pace of development in other provinces around the country.
Former Mayor Engr. Jupiter C. Dominguez, who is the lone congressional candidate of the LAKAS-CMD party in the Cordillera, stated that the unity of the families, clans, sectors among others during their rounds in the province over the past several weeks speaks well of their desire that there should be a change in the province’s political landscape so that deserving leaders can have a chance to show their people-oriented brand of leadership that will further improve the current status of the province.
He pointed out that his advocacy for just and upright public service has definitely gained the support of the people who have expressed their desire that something better should be done in the province so that it will not stagnate as there are greater opportunities for the province to improve its current status through a balanced development among physical, human and digital infrastructures so that the province will not be left behind.
The former local chief executive emphasized that every aspect of development starts with a unity of purpose among elected officials after the May 9, 2022 elections, so that there will be greater opportunities for growth and development, particularly among rural communities around the province.
He emphasized that Mountain Province will surely be moving up to greater heights once the right leaders sit who can aggressively and dynamically pursue untapped opportunities for development, which had not been seen among the province’s present officials.
According to him, Mountain Province has great potentials as one of the country’s sources of natural products but such potentials had been left out in the priorities of concerned government agencies and local governments, thus, the need for leaders who can prioritise or include these in the priority programs, projects and activities of the national and local governments.
He urged the people of the province to sustain the unity they have displayed beyond the elections so that the goals and objectives of the new leaders will be realized.
Mountain Province is one of the most peaceful and orderly provinces during elections except for some isolated election-related violence and incidents that have transpired in the past.
