The Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD) conducted Consultative Conference among Circle of Innovators for Learning (CIL) across the country on Feb. 8-10 via Microsoft Teams.

Four participants from each region took part in the activity where two served as official recommendation for pool of innovators.

In addition, the said conference oriented participant-innovators on CIL and created regional and national directory of innovators for learning and matrix of involvement with the Department of Education (DepEd) programs and projects.

Diosdado M. Antonio, DepEd Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction welcomed the participants with acknowledgement of their initiatives for curriculum and instruction.

Meanwhile Alma C. Torio, Assistant Secretary for Curriculum and Instruction encouraged participants to work closely in embracing changes and initiate activities that will enhance teaching and engagement of learners. She said, “Make a difference to all learners and co-educators for it will bring difference in the country”.

Moreover, the conference ran in parallel sessions to create directory of CIL and three-year plan of action per region that were presented before BCD personnel.

As per DepEd Memo No. 18 s. 2021, the pool of innovators submitted 6-minute multimedia presentation of their innovations that will be featured during the launching of CIL in the DepEd Community on Feb 23-24. By JARDSON S. ONIO
