Construction worker arrested for illegal drugs in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – A 34-year old construction worker who is one of the drug personalities in the city was arrested after combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents found in his possession suspected illegal drugs during a buy bust operation along Carantes St., Middle Quezon Hill, here, Tuesday.

Senior Superintendent George D. Daskeo, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested drug personality as Joel Ragon Bautista, 34, married, construction worker and a resident at Carantes Street, Middle Quezon Hill, Baguio City.

Confiscated from his possession by the members of the arresting team were One piece PhP500.00 bill buy-bust money; one sachet of white crystalline substance suspected to be “Shabu” weighing more or less 0.6 gram; and one sachet of white crystalline substance suspected to be “Shabu” weighing more or less 0.2 gram; both suspected drugs (b) and (c) with DDB value of P4,600.00 and street value of P7,200.00.

The arrested drug personality and the confiscated pieces of evidence were subsequently brought to the BCPO headquarters for documentation awaiting the filing of appropriate charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
