BAGUIO CITY – City Vice Mayor Edison Bilog challenged the parents, teachers and school leaders on their role in school during the mass induction of officers at Irisan National High School, July 21.
Bilog, the speaker and inducting officer, emphasized the role of parents in the learning of their children.
“Sa atingmgamagulang, huwagnatingiasalahatsaguro and pagbibigayngaralsaatingngaanak,” he stressed.
“Marami pa rin pong mgabagayangnatututunanngatingmgaanakmulasaatinbilangkanilangmagulang. Sa atingmgaguro, sanapo ay hindi kayo napapagodsapaagtuturosaatingmgaestudyante,” he added.
Further, he challenged the General Parents and Teachers Association (GPTA), Homeroom PTA, Supreme Student Government (SSG), Classroom and Club officers to lead by example. He emphasized that the success of an organization depends on the cooperation and unity between the leaders and the members.
The City Vice Mayor announced that the City Council will allot an amount of two hundred thousand pesos for the school’s improvement.
On the other hand, Romulo M. Flora, school principal highlighted the value of authority, responsibility and accountability (AuRA) among leaders.
Meanwhile, the School Cordillera Day was celebrated after the induction program.
Students competed in dancing the Bendian Dance and choral singing of the Cordillera hymn.
