LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A decomposing cadaver was found by concerned residents who were busy looking for plastics along a creek at Lower Kesbeng here Saturday morning.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, said that the cadaver was already beyond recognition and had no clothes as well as other means of identifying him or her when found trapped between two huge boulders of stones in the area.
It was learned that the cadaver was spotted by concerned residents in the area two days ago but they did not mind reporting the same, however, when they went back to the site to gather plastics, they again saw the said cadaver still untouched prompting them to report the matter to concerned police operatives.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team immediately processed the crime scene and brought the cadaver to a funeral parlor in Baguio City for further identification by their relatives in the coming days.
