LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A 42-year old construction worker was hurt after his younger brother hit him with a bottler of liquor while he was pacifying a misunderstanding between the latter and his father at Rocky Side, Lubas here recently.
Senior Superintendent Floratne Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Office, identified the victim as Julius Pasing Balangoy, 42, married, construction worker while he named the suspect as his younger brother, Allan Pasing Balangoy, married, construction worker, both residents of Rockyside II, Lubas, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and the suspect had a drinking session when a misunderstanding suddenly erupted between the latter and his father prompting the former to intervene.
Irked about what happened, the suspect suddenly hit his older brother with a bottle of liquor thereby inflicting injuries on his face.
The victim was rushed to the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives.
The victim is not interested to file the appropriate charges against his younger brother.
